Sangha MLA's second Memorandum to the Home Minister (Sikkim Bhutia Lepcha Apex Committee)
Member Sikkim Legislative Assembly
P.O. Gangtok – 737101, Sikkim, India
Shri Rajnath Singh Ji
Ministry of Home Affairs
Government of India
Sub: Permission for His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa
Orgyen Trinley Dorje to visit Sikkim
Since the passing away of His Holiness the 16TH Gyalwang Karmapa Rangjyung Rigpe Dorje, the Sikkimese devotees have long been awaiting for the early arrival of His Holiness’ reincarnation Orgyen Trinley Dodrul Dorje, the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa to Sikkim, His seat-in-exile. It is very disheartening to note that despite strong determination and aspirations, this long cherished demand and aspirations of the Sikkimese devotees has still remained far from addressal owing to numerous obstacles and negativity.
In fact, the recently concluded budget session of Sikkim Legislative Assembly has unanimously adopted a resolution to this effect (Annex A)
At this backdrop, Ion behalf of monks and lay devotees of Sikkim request your esteemed government to compassionately allow His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa Orgyen Trinley Dorje to visit Sikkim so as to allow HH’s Sikkimese devotees to have His Holy darshan in this very Hidden Land of Mahaguru Padmasambhava for universal benevolence.
May this benefit all the sentient beings.
With highest regards
